Concrete is the all-time favorite exterior flooring material. After installation, you must “finish” the concrete to make it weather-proof, slip-proof and aesthetically appealing. Here is a crisp overview of top 3 concrete finishes:

- Stamped/Stenciled Concrete Finishes
After the concrete has set but before it hardens completely, it is imprinted with rubber stamps. Using stamps, you can recreate cobbled street of London, rugged terrain of Grand Canyon or even monogram the concrete with your initials. Stenciling is a cheaper version of stamping and uses disposable stencils instead of rubber stamps for imprinting the concrete.

- Float/Trowel/Broom Concrete Finishes
The most historic concrete surfaces were made simply by dragging an object like a float, a trowel or a broom across wet concrete. You can create swirls, lines, houndstooth and many other simple geometric designs.

- Rock Salt Concrete Finishes
Rock salt softeners are cast on wet concrete, pressed with a roller and then washed to create a textured finish. A beautiful grained pattern is obtained.
