Bathroom Interior Design Ideas

Bathroom Interior Design Ideas , Many options are available for people who wish to make their small-spaced bathrooms appear larger and spacious. Of course, one such way is to renovate it, but what if time and resources are limited? Especially in this day and age of financial crunch, bathroom make-over, however reasonable the cost is, is hardly a priority, as opposed to the more basic needs. There are, however, general principles in interior planning that can be learned and applied as an alternative for bathroom designs, and they have something to do with these two elements-color and light.

Colors have the ability to create different kinds of moods. If the preference is for a bathroom that is more intimate and intense, darker tones will deliver exactly as desired. The especially give the bathroom a more Gothic look at night, when aromatic candles are lit. The downside, however, is that such hues will make the bathroom, already small as it is, feel claustrophobic and congesting.

Projecting a more outgoing and exciting personality to the bathroom can be achieved through bright and bold colors. Two or more colors can also be mixed and matched for creating accents on the walls, but restraint must be observed with using multiple colors, as they tend to create a busy look on the walls, which will contract the space of the bathroom. But to create a larger-than-life illusion to a relatively small bathroom, soft and light shades on the walls and floors are a way to go. These tints enhance the limited space by concealing the corners, giving the bathroom a more integrated look.

Light, on the other hand, interacts with the color inside the bathroom. That is part of the magic with the soft colors opening up the space. During the day, when morning rays enter the bathroom and strike the walls and floors, light is bounced back, rather than absorbed. This way, the natural light is maximized. The same principle works for artificial lights, whether they are fluorescent, incandescent, or just plain fire from a candle.

Patterned wall papers also affect the lighting inside a bathroom. If the patterns are dark colored, then they absorbed the light inside, and the more designs on the wall, the more constricted the bathroom feels. If it must be insisted, fine and delicate bathroom designs can be an option, so as not to create a rather boring look for the bathroom walls.
